Good to Know Before You Go
The ferry to Vivekananda Rock Memorial runs roughly 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, and this is genuinely the only place in India where you can watch both sunrise and sunset from the same beach. Best season is October to March for calmer seas and clearer views — the ferry can get suspended in rough monsoon weather (June–September). If you want the sunrise, plan to be at the jetty by 6:00–6:30 AM since the queue is shortest right after sunup and gets much longer by mid-morning.
